The food here was solid , would I come back ? Yes Was it the best breakfast I've ever had? No But it tasted good , appreciated the plethora of vegan options . Our sever was so sweet and upbeat and willing to explain everything and give us extra time because the menu is pretty large . The place looks like a diner met a dive bar, it's cool and eccentric.
I liked The Friendly Toast! I would give it a 4.5/5 (plus a bonus for their service, which was fantastic) The staff were extremely friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. We dined in on a sunny day, so we got to sit outside and the ambiance was great. We ordered both types of avocado toast, the Monster Breakfast (with french toast), and the Hash Quiche. Each item tasted great, and the portions were fair, though I wish they were a bit bigger. I loved the variety of options in the menu, and I would definitely come back to try more!
Excellent food and the friendliest wait staff in the city! We have dined in Boston and in Portsmouth NH. Always top notch.
Combine a few over-the-top flavors with conventional breakfast food and add a staff that's having fun with it and you'll have the friendly toast Inventive breakfast foods very tasty not to mention very entertaining decor On the weekend make sure you put your name in way early or get a reservation this busy

Nice food and friendly service Food: tomato soup was amazing. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit and avocado toast as well. Egg rolls come with four pieces and they were crunchy. The nacho was soaked in Mexican style seasoning/sauce and pickled onions were refreshing, tied well with the chips. It was quite interesting how the chips were still crunchy while we'll seasoned Service: staffs were friendly and nice :) Overall great experience but if you are not a huge fan of Southern American/American soul food type of cuisine, won't be the best spot
